The product is manufactured from human corneas ethically sourced from an Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA)–accredited eye bank. VisionGift, the supplier of Allotex allogeneic tissue, is responsible for procuring, cleaning, and sterilizing the corneas prior to delivery. Final sterilization is performed using electron beam (ebeam) technology.
The TransForm™ lenticule is precisely laser-sculpted to a diameter of 2–3.5 mm and a thickness of 15–25 μm. This configuration enhances near and intermediate visual acuity while maintaining distance vision by allowing peripheral light transmission through the optical zone.
The lenticule is placed beneath a thin corneal flap created with a femtosecond laser, making direct contact with the stromal bed and integrating with the natural tissue. Its biocompatible structure minimizes the risk of graft rejection.
